Roll Cage
I puchased a used OG Racing roll cage and with the help of Mike Courtney who operates Courtney Truck Service in Eden Prairie, MN, installed it into the car. Mike does excellent work on his own 911 race car as well as his customer's cars. That's why he's the only other person that I'll let work on my 930. I've removed the roll cage (it's a bolt in cage) and spray painted the car with paint that I purschased from PaintScratch.com.

Mike ponders the ride height, "Is this going to be a race car or a rally car?".

Straps are used to help align everthing.

Drill 1" holes after you mark centers. Score around the mounting plate to prep
weld.

Welded back plate. Location of rear plate and front plate in car. Welded front
plate.

Mike recommened I use a "paintable" rubber material to protect welds. The
product was from 3M.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I made the holes on the wheel well TOO BIG! The rear of
the roll cage mounts using a "sandwich" mount.
You only need to make the holes big enough for the bolts to go through. You also
don't need to score these for welding like I did.

The roll cage went from black to primer gray to continental orange.
Race Seats
The race seats are Sparco Evo 2. I decided on these seats because I weight around 190 lbs and found the Evo 1 to feel a little small. The Evo 2 feels a little better to me. I got my seats from David Schall at Art of Racing. I'm using Brey-Krause seat mounts (R-9061) with Sparco universal sliders and Brey-Krause actuating bars. More to Come...
