Race News
Gary Johnson became the third owner of the Tasse D'Enduro as he outlasted a challenging set of contenders to win this year's running of AERL's 24 Laps of Le Mans. In an showing at the Sarthe that will long be remembered, Johnson drove his Ferrari to the top of the podium as he got a last lap challange from AERL rookie star Larry Sheehy.
Congratulation to Karl Kocher as he won this year's AERL points championship to become AERL champion. Karl's on grid engine explosion caused concern as if it would be counted as a DNF. Because he made the grid, he was considered to have started the race. Sheehy's second place finish at Le Mans pushed him to become a major contender for the AERL championship and is sure to be a major force to dealt with next season.
Thanks to everyone for the best AERL season to date. Thanks to all the great AERL rookies this year. We look forward to seeing you again next season and hope to see everyone at Indianapolis this year for the US Grand Prix.
